About NIYRO

Background

NIYRO was founded in 2026 in response to the growing crisis of youth vulnerability in South Sudan. Recognizing that traditional NGO approaches often fail to address root causes, we developed a community-first model that integrates rehabilitation with sustainable development.

Why NIYRO Exists

Youth in South Sudan face multiple interconnected challenges: psychological trauma from decades of conflict, widespread substance abuse, limited access to education and skills training, and economic marginalization. NIYRO exists to provide comprehensive support that rebuilds lives and strengthens communities from within.

Community-First Approach

Our work is deeply rooted in local communities and churches. We collaborate with religious leaders, traditional authorities, and community members to ensure our programs are culturally appropriate and sustainable. This approach builds trust and ensures long-term impact.

Partnerships with Churches and Ministries

Churches play a central role in South Sudanese society. We partner with local congregations to provide spiritual guidance alongside our rehabilitation programs, ensuring holistic recovery that addresses both physical and spiritual needs.
